Talk About Spring Cleaning!

One of my favorite topics on blogs is to see how people with a primitive flair decorate their homes. The Tdipt gals were asked to send in pics and a tidbit about any moves, renovations or re-dos they’ve done recently.

When she isn't busy creating, Karin of Countryfolk Keepsakes is busy doing cosmetic renovations to her 1800's farmhouse in Central New York.
Her favorite way to update is to tackle painting projects. "The best way to change the whole look of a room is to paint it." So she did, starting with her kitchen. With a little muscle, she also updated her counter tops. (The rustic American flag walls and 1776 peninsula is also her handiwork)

Before:

After:

A month ago, she and her husband installed new flooring in their den.

What other projects does Karin have in the works?
"I like to keep busy. So I'll add a beadboard back splash in the kitchen then paint the exterior front facade and entry doors. All before I pour myself a second cup of coffee." ;> )
You can read more about her kitchen re-do and other home projects on her blog.

Mona Holland of My Old Crow Primitives sent these pics of her renovations as well. Like Peanut (Karin) she did her kitchen and dinning room areas.

Here's a before of her dining room:

After:

Look at the wonderful characters in her decorating!

Before and what an open pallete Mona had to work with.

After:

What a transformation!

Edna Bridges of Plum Thicket says she spent two years ripping up carpet and flooring and painting to make her floors look like tile. I was FLOORED (giggle) to see the after pic.
If you check out her blog she also redid her bathroom and has some pics and info in there.

Before:

During:

and the mind blowing after of Edna's work.

To find out more or see more pics of Karin, Mona, and Edna's doings or to get to their blogs, check them out the TDIPT artist list on The Merc. You'll see what new items they are offering as well. And if you have time visit the other gals, there's always something going on!
