Greek Hot Dogs
Instead of plain old hot dogs at your summer picnics spice it up with this Greek Sauce recipe. After preparing it on the stove I transfer it to a crock pot and set it out next to the ketchup, mustard, onions and cheese.
Recipe for Greek Sauce
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 1/2 T oil
1 large onion
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 T chili powder
1 T cumin powder
1 T paprika
1 T hot pepper flakes
3/4 t salt
1 1/2 cups cold water
Fry beef, oil, onions and garlic in a very large fry pan. Do not drain. Add remaining spices and water. Simmer uncovered for three to four hours until thick.
