And its good to know there have been some happy endings for some of the animals at these places.

We are continuing to offer wonderful prim, primitive, whimsical handmades throughtout the month.

Look at Chase, offerred by Jan of Big Brown Dog Primitives, what a cutie!
Head over to The Mercantile and see what other wonderful goodies  that the gals have for sale!

Spread the Love!

Have the best day!

And since we are sharing love our love for our furry babies this month, I thought I'd share some vintage valentine pics I took offline that are in that spirit.

We Love Our Fur Babies!

So tonight we start the month with our Kindness Matters Big and Small Charity event.

Make a Difference Rescue in the Metro Detroit area and Branch County Humane Society in Southern MI will be the recipients of the charity in our hearts.

Several artists are participating and certain items will be for sale with ALL the proceeds going to the above rescues. To find out which items, just head over to The Mercantile (after 9pm tonight )tomorrow, check out the artist's pages and see which items have a picture of a dog or cat in need. If you want to purchase said item you will be getting a wonderful piece of folk art and helping an animal in need. A win win situation!

Check back on the 15th as well because this is going on all month long!

Attitude is Everything!!

And cats are full of attitude! I don't have a cat baby but I do know people who have these mysterious, intelligent and loving creatures.
A big Tdipt shout out to cats! And here to share out love for them are some Tdipt feline members
Here is the lovely Mabel who belongs to Lynn of Country Thyme Stitchery.
Love her wrapped up! And then there's Poe, Kimber of Heirlooms by Ashton House's cat who is named after Edgar. Black as a raven, when you sleep dear Poe do you hear the telltale heart of any poor lil mice that would dare lurking?
Cookie of Curds-N-Whey sent in pictures of her wonder cats Nip & Tuck. There seems to be a pattern in these pics and Cookie might want to set up a cat cam while she's at work because the pictures she takes when home look like these two have been very busy while she's gone!
Finally our MoMo of The Solderd Sparrow shared these pics of Boo Boo kitty, enough said, just enjoy giggle
You can see why these gals and their families love their lil fur babies!

Charity Event for The Month of Feb! Kindness Matters Big and Small

TDIPT Mercantile is really feeling the love, and since we're the original "Kindness Matters" online group of folk artists, we seem to have a little extra charity in our hearts for the month of February! Many of the members will be participating, and this time around the proceeds will be going to a wonderful animal Rescue in the Metro Detroit area called Make a Difference. The members who have agreed to participate will donate 100% of their sale from a select Mercantile offering during the month of February to this wonderful rescue that truly makes a difference to so many dogs, from not only the Detroit area, but they also help out by rescuing dogs and puppies from North Carolina that are transported up north to begin their new "furever" lives in new homes. To see more about this rescue, please visit their Facebook page here or their Website here

And its time for the 15th updates! check out this Lovely Doll From Diamond K Folk Art one of the many lovely items offered this month

Another Stop The Presses! Kudos!

Patty Kelly Trevino of Dogpatch Primitives has  very good news to share. She is going to be getting a job w

the city  she lives in and will be working at the animal shelter.

" It may not seem like a big deal, but to get the full appreciation you would have to understand

that our local pound here has never allowed adoptions. That will all be changing

as I will be the shelter attendant and will be coordinating rescues and

adoptions for the Animals".

She is also working on getting a grant for a makeover to make the shelter a cheerier place for all.

"I'm very excited as this is a huge step and one I had to fight for and have wanted to do for years. "

This is great new especially for those animals in need!
